1. Create Personal Intro
HOW TO FILM YOUR PERSONAL INTRO
This is your camp introduction which will serve as a way for a camper to get to know a little bit about you! Below is a sample script and an example from Coach Waddell (NYU)
INTRODUCTION (15 Seconds)
Hello! I’m excited to join you at the EXACT Virtual Development Camp! My name is Simon Clements from EXACT University. EXACT is located in the heart of the great Midwestern city of Chicago, Illinois. We’re an NCAA Division I program in the Midwestern Athletic Conference.
BACKGROUND (15 Seconds)
A little background about me. I played my college ball at Salem State, a Division III program in Eastern Massachusetts. My primary position as a player was central defender. After college, I went straight into coaching, first as a Graduate Assistant at UMass. I’ve been at a number of programs at all NCAA levels, including my last stop at DePaul in Chicago.
PERSONAL FACT AND/OR WORD OF ADVICE (30 Seconds)
“A fun fact about me… I have traveled to over 40 states and visited over 37 countries. The most unusual place I’ve ever been is Kuwait City, and the most eye opening experience I’ve ever had was spending a week in Northern India. One thing I’ve learned in every city and country that I’ve been in is that the sport of soccer is a uniting force that transcends all cultures. It is truly a community without borders.
CLOSING (5 Seconds)
“I look forward to working with you at EXACT camp!”
After Video is Ready:
Once yours is complete, we'll send you follow-up instructions on how to upload it to virtual.exactsports.com (on July 1).
2. Lead Your Zoom Session
A. FIRST: SCHEDULE YOUR SESSION
Pick your session(s) on the google spreadsheet we emailed you. Can't find it? Just email us back at [email protected] and we'll help you select the ~30 minute session for your zoom video session!
B. SECOND: PREPARE YOUR TOPIC OUTLINE
For your topic, prepare a short outline so you'll lead prepared to lead it solo (or if with another coach if joint session):
- Welcome the Campers: You (or the EXACT moderator if participating) should welcome campers to the session
- Coach Introductions: Share your name + college + conference + location
- Overview the Session: Explain what you'll cover and that campers should ask questions in their chat window
- Topic Elements: What info will you be sharing?
- Do you have any video examples / screenshare?
- Powerpoint slides you'll be discussing?
- Verbal thoughts & ideas?
- Can you video yourself (or a current SA) doing a drill? Action looks good on the screen! - Questions from Campers: If any, share your thoughts...
- Wrap Up: Give final thoughts on the topic
C. THIRD: LEAD YOUR VIDEO TRAINING SESSION
1. Download & Test Zoom
(You can do this anytime before the session - e.g. right now)
Open the Zoom Test to see that your audio, video and microphone all work for the session.
3. Lead Your Zoom Session
(Typical sessions last 30-60 minutes)
Your session will have only coaches in the zoom session (campers are not directly visible/participating). Check out the example video here, "Technical Training: How to Train Alone" which included an EXACT lead, two college coaches, and one of the college's current student-athletes.
4. Camper View (and Answering Questions)
(Typically middle or end of session)
Campers are watching your session at https://virtual.exactsports.com/. (see image). There, campers can see each other & ask questions that will appear in the zoom Chat window. NOTE: Campers are watching on a 20 second delay so it's best not to be 'waiting' on questions.

3. Watch Camper Video
You have full access to watch any camper's videos including game film, highlights and their personal introductions. In addition, we'll be assigning you camper's to provide your (paid) assessment & guidance on to help the athletes get better. This information will be available at https://virtual.exactsports.com and will be available to you on July 1.
4. Do More
Interested in more paid opportunities for helping campers? Just let us know at [email protected].
